SCOPE OF WORK
The primary focus of the work will be 1) managing partnerships with NGO’s and other stake holders including the advocacy aspect, 2) monitoring and documenting the activities, 3) fundraising, and 4) managing external communications (website, social media, etc.). In addition to this there will be a variety of ad hoc assignments for the intern to work with.
During the internship the intern will be given the opportunity to shape his or her own work assignments in collaboration with the Country Director.
REFERENCE
During the first week of the internship the intern will be introduced to GAME’s work in the headquarters in Copenhagen if she/he lives in Europe. Here the intern will refer to the Country Director of Denmark.
After that the intern moves to GAME Lebanon’s office in Beirut. In the remaining part of the internship, the intern will refer to the Country Director of GAME Lebanon.
WORKING HOURS PER WEEK
The working hours are 37 hours per week. Some work will take place on weekends during events like GAME Finals and training seminars for the volunteers.
During the internship the intern is given 2,5 weeks of vacation, a part from national holidays in Lebanon.
TIME PERIOD
The internship will run during the fall semester of 2018, starting August 13 and running 4-6 months.
FINANCIAL COMPENSATION
The internship is unpaid.
GAME will finance insurance, and expenses to Saifi Language Institute (30 hours of Arabic lessons). The intern will have to finance all other transport and living costs incl. accommodation, food, etc.
