Youth Leadership Trainer

The work of the Trainer Expert will focus according to the following parameters:

• Period: Mid-February till Mid-March. Concrete training dates will be arranged according to the availability of the trainer and the participants of the training and will be conveyed to the trainer beforehand.
• Deliverables: the trainer will be responsible for the delivery of:

  SCOPE OF WORK:

1. Capacity Development Training Session on Training of Trainers (TOT) in Beirut:

• Youth empowerment, promotion of tolerance, understanding, and peace.
• Guide the youth in a way that does not disempower them and that reinforces their ownership of the project, their critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Conducting peer-to-peer sensitization sessions based on the cascade training model; mentoring, sensitizing, and mobilizing the youth.
• Communication skills
• Emotions vs. argumentation
• Definition of Conflict Resolution
• Tools and techniques of conflict resolution
• Communication skills aiming at the diminishment of conflict/ tension aroused among contending groups

2. Ability to monitor, guide, coach, and support peer educators during one-time field visits to Baalbeck and Tripoli

3. Evaluating & Reporting:

An evaluation survey should be conducted and findings should be written in a final report.

4. Trainer should submit costing of the training in-priori.

5. Trainer should submit after signing the contract the curriculum and schedule.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERTISE:

- Previous experience in preparation and delivery of trainings and in Youth Community Leadership is an asset.

-Ability to adapt and tailor the content of workshops to the needs and priorities of the youth

-Fluency in written and spoken English & Arabic

-Strong analytical skills
