Call for Applications - Freelance Creative Program Coordinator

The Goethe-Institut Lebanon is looking for a Creative Program Coordinator on a Freelance basis starting from March (or later) until November 30, 2022 to work in coordination with the FANTASMEEM team in order to establish a support structure for the design scene in Lebanon.

Services to be provided by the Creative Program Coordinator:

  • Responsibility for the overall coordination and management of a creative program from conception and Design to development and implementation
    • Ensure that activities are scoped and defined clearly, with agreed upon timing and deliverables and resourced appropriately
    • Monitoring, controlling and evaluation of the project’s activity scope in coordination with the FANTASMEEM team
    • Submit reports to the FANTASMEEM team on a regular basis
  • Curating the creative program of the project, including (but not exclusively):
    • Suggest activities and programs that can foster collaboration and capacity building as well as increase visibility and exposure of designers and Design entrepreneurs in Lebanon at the regional and international level
    • Conceptualize community building and networking activities among designers and Design entrepreneurs based in Lebanon and abroad
    • Identifying stakeholders from the creative scene in Lebanon and abroad and implement partnerships
  • Curating and managing an online tool (to be defined) for the project

The requirements:

  • Proven experience in creative program design and curation on a local and national level for a non-profit organization
  • Strong networking and communication skills
  • Proven experience in the conception, development and successful implementation of projects in the cultural and creative field in Lebanon, also in cooperation with local and/or international NGOs
  • Proven knowledge of the Design scene in Lebanon as well as the field of design/creative entrepreneurship
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic, both spoken and written

Applications should include:

  • A motivation letter and a CV (both as pdf) mentioning implemented projects as well as a brief proposal outlining the procedure to achieve the above mentioned tasks and a draft budget in Euros for the completion of the freelance tasks, detailing them from the familiarization with the project to the finalization of the full budgeted implementation
  • The maximum budget for the whole period of 9 months is 7.200€.
