Call for Applications - Freelance Operations Coordinator

The Goethe-Institut Lebanon is looking for an Operations Coordinator on a freelance basis starting from March (or later) until November 30, 2022 to work in coordination with the FANTASMEEM team in order to establish a support structure for the design scene in Lebanon.

Services to be provided by the Operations Coordinator:

• Operations Coordination:
  • Responsible for organizing and implementing activities within the project in order to support Lebanon-based designers and design entrepreneurs
  • Organizing, attending and documenting activities and meetings with different stakeholders
  • Communication with and building strong relations within the cultural & creative industries in Lebanon, facilitate collaboration between the different stakeholders

• Financial Controlling:
  • Track, monitor and control expenses based on budgetary guidelines
• Managing community outreach strategy and social media/ online presence:
  • Developing and implementing a coherent social media outreach strategy and keep social media accounts as well as other online presence updated, including creating appealing content

The requirements:

• Only people living in Lebanon are eligible for this position
• Proven track record in program and operations coordination in the third sector
• Proven knowledge of the local creative industries, with a focus on the arts and Design sector in Lebanon
• Flexible and motivated, with a hands-on mentality, visionary and independent 
• Strong networking and communication skills; able to clearly communicate the mission and vision of the project to stakeholders, partners and program participants 
• Excellent problem-solving and organization skills, team work experiences
• Knowledge of implementation and utilization of technologies that support the creative team (workflow/project management) is a plus
