As a psychomotor therapist specializing in psycho-pedagogical rehabilitation, the practitioner:
- Meets with children and their parents
- Conducts and writes up psychomotor assessments
- Analyzes the results and collaborates with the team to develop a care plan
- Presents the therapeutic plan to the child, their parents, and the center’s management
- Conducts psychomotor therapy and maintains contact with the parents when necessary, in coordination with center management
- Keeps children's files updated
The psychomotor therapist provides therapeutic intervention through specific techniques, methods, and tools, they aim to resolve or reduce the psychological conflicts underlying psychomotor difficulties.
They may work with children individually or in group sessions.
They actively participate in the center’s multidisciplinary team, attending clinical meetings and case reviews.
They contribute to the overall care or referral decisions for the child and may liaise with schools or specialized institutions and attend school meetings.
