Registered Nurse

The RN is responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, delivering medical acts, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records, manages vaccination plans and programs, provides emergency care and educates beneficiaries.

  • Performing basic nursing activities assigned to patients, and assisting the physician in primary healthcare tasks; which include:
  1. Preparing doctors' clinics before beneficiaries enter and after they leave, setting up the necessary equipment and tools.
  2. Welcoming and guiding beneficiaries arriving at the center and directing them correctly to receive prompt care.
  3. Assessing the condition of patients visiting the center without a prior appointment “walk-in” during the triage process.
  4. Performing nursing assessment for patients before consultations (vital signs, medical history)
  5. Documenting all relevant data and health information about the patient's problems in the medical records according to the center's standards and informing the physician.
  6. Maintaining patient records and entering data into their electronic files accurately and completely
  7. Administering first aid such as Basic Life Support (BLS) when needed, conducting EKGs, nursing, dressing wounds and burns when necessary.
  8. Reviewing and documenting test results (laboratory, radiology, etc...) and informing the doctor and concerned patient of abnormal results when follow-up or immediate action is needed.
  • Providing health education services to individuals and families at the center as needed, including giving beneficiaries necessary information about health problems, prevention, and prescribed treatments.
  • Ensuring that medical equipment and tools are kept in good, clean, disinfected, or sterilized condition and are ready for use in all units of the health center. This includes:
  • Performs inventory of medical supplies and equipment ensuring availability and proper usage
  • Ensuring the availability and the proper storage of necessary supplies and equipment for the clinic and patient care.
  • Ensuring that medical equipment is maintained regularly and checking the proper functioning and readiness of medical equipment and tools and reporting any defects or doubts about their readiness to the direct supervisor.
  • Monitors PPE stock, medical supplies and orders the missing items
  • Previous experience in Primary Healthcare is a must
