General Call for Applications - Content Creator Internship

Objectives

Are you a student or recent graduate? Are you looking for the experience of a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that works to save the world every day? We offer a number of internships in Greenpeace MENA.

GP MENA offers internship Programme possibilities with the main aim to achieve a mutual benefit to the Intern and to the organisation, allowing the intern to learn and develop his/her knowledge.

Our goal is to provide our interns with:

  • A better understanding of the organisation’s goals and objectives
  • Insight into how an international organisation operates
  • Framework to enhance their educational experience through practical work assignments, thereby developing personal and professional skills which will be useful for their future employment
  • An open and inclusive, multicultural, multilingual and multi-ethnic work environment, contributing to the development of mutual understanding, trust, and tolerance

Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to

  • Create content for Greenpeace MENA channels (social media posts, tweets, newsletter, blog, press release, video etc..)
  • Translate materials to Arabic. Contribute to the editing of all Arabic content.
  • Contribute to the content of the GP twitter account.
  • Play an active role with the output team, by attending the editorial meeting and providing stories.
  • Monitor social media trends happening in the region.
  • Report media and social media stories about environmental issues happening in the MENA region.
  • Conduct quantitative and Qualitative Media Analysis.

Requirements

  • Creative writing in Arabic
  • Good background on social media platforms
  • Basic skills in photography and videography
  • Good background in media
  • Willing to learn new skills and to share your skills with others
  • Interest in and awareness of environmental issues
  • Multitasking skills
  • Team player

Terms and Conditions
GP MENA internships are full-time positions (40 hours/week). Our internships are meant for students or recent graduates who have completed their studies less than 1 year ago. Remuneration is a modest monthly honorarium that covers transportation and food allowance. A certificate of Internship will be delivered at the end of the agreed duration.
