Community Mobilizer

 

Main Tasks:

 

  • Conduct household interviews and focus group discussions to collect information, as needed
  • Act as liaison with government authorities & other official entities such as utilities companies
  • Act as a liaison between communities and the HFH; maintain good relationships with beneficiaries and local leaders/authorities; and report any identified issues to management
  • Contribute in creation of neighborhood committees, formulating and delegating specific tasks to the committee members.
  • Monitor all the works that will be executed
  • Liaise with different stakeholders to take approvals for work execution 
  • Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of activities by collecting appropriate data
  • Work with engineer/procurement/logistics/finance staff for smooth implementation of the project
  • Comply with HFH policies and practice with respect to all humanitarian principals, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.
  • In addition to other relevant tasks that may be asked by management

 

Technical skills:

  • Attention to minor details
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terms.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in working in refugees gatherings
  • Previous experience in harsh environments
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of Sphere & WHO minimum standards.
  • Excellent computer skills

Desirable skills:

  • Graphic design.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign
