BLN Teacher

Main Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver daily lessons in literacy and numeracy, aligned with the BLN curriculum and tailored to student levels.

Develop teaching materials and adapt instructional methods based on students’ learning abilities and backgrounds.

Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and participation.

Monitor and assess student progress through regular evaluations and adjust instruction accordingly.

Identify students with learning difficulties and provide additional support or referrals when necessary.

Foster a positive classroom culture based on mutual respect, discipline, and student-centered learning.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic progress, and classroom behavior.

Develop and implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) where needed.

Collaborate with colleagues, school leadership, and support staff to ensure holistic student development.

Involve families and communities in the educational process through communication and outreach.

Integrate health, hygiene, life skills, and social-emotional learning into classroom activities as appropriate.

Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Prepare and submit regular reports to the school administration and participate in monitoring and evaluation activities.

Support extracurricular or enrichment activities designed to enhance student learning and engagement.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Literacy, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Minimum of 3-4 years of teaching experience, preferably with vulnerable or marginalized children.

Familiarity with accelerated learning programs and non-formal education approaches is preferred.

Knowledge of child development and inclusive, learner-centered teaching methodologies.

Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in educational and administrative tools (e.g., lesson planning, record-keeping, MS Office).

Fluency in Arabic; English is an asset.

Willingness to work in flexible environments, including community-based settings.

Availability for after-school programs, parent meetings, and school-related events.
