IT Systems Administrator (Head of Unit)

Key Responsibilities

Advanced System and Infrastructure Management

1. Design, implement, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and cloud-based solutions. 
2. Create and manage domains, user accounts, groups, and organizational units within Active Directory.
3. Configure and manage virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
4. Lead the deployment, configuration, and integration of ERP systems like ODOO with other IT systems, participate in testing, validation, and user acceptance phases to confirm that deliverables meet the defined objectives
5. Implement and oversee backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data security and availability.
6. Optimize the performance of critical systems and proactively address potential issues.

Microsoft 365 and Cloud Administration

1. Serve as the Microsoft 365 Admin, managing accounts, licenses, and permissions for all staff.
2. Configure and secure Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Azure to enhance collaboration and productivity.
3. Develop automation workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to streamline operations.
4. Monitor cloud performance, ensuring secure access and scalability.

Network and Security Management

1. Design and maintain a robust network architecture, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and firewalls.
2. Implement and manage enterprise-level cybersecurity measures, such as endpoint protection, intrusion detection, and encryption.
3. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address risks.
4. Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures to comply with industry standards.

Database and Data Management

1. Manage the organization's main data systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, and integrity.
2. Oversee database design, maintenance, and optimization to support operational needs.
3. Implement data governance policies, including user access controls and compliance with data protection regulations.
4. Lead data migration and integration projects, ensuring seamless transitions between systems.

Strategic IT Planning and Leadership

1. Analyze the organization's IT needs and provide recommendations for improvements and upgrades.
2. Lead IT projects from conception to deployment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
3. Evaluate and implement new technologies to support the organization’s growth and efficiency.
4. Train and mentor junior IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

1. Act as the final escalation point for complex IT issues.
2. Provide advanced support for employees and stakeholders in system-related tasks.
3. Develop comprehensive documentation and user manuals for IT systems and procedures.

Experience:

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT systems administration and infrastructure management.
• Extensive experience with ERP systems like ODOO and cloud platforms like Microsoft 365.
• Proven expertise in implementing and managing cybersecurity measures.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of system architecture, networking protocols, and virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for a basic understanding of website structure and design.
• Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS).
• Strong experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Deep understanding of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server).

Communication:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex IT concepts to non-technical users.
• Fluency in English & Arabic.
