Key Responsibilities
A. Monitoring & Evaluation Implementation
- Lead implementation of project-specific MEAL frameworks and tools.
- Conduct regular field monitoring visits and data verification exercises.
- Ensure indicator tracking systems are functional and regularly updated.
- Support baseline, midline, and endline assessments where required.
B. Data Collection & Management
- Design and adapt quantitative and qualitative data collection tools.
- Ensure accurate, ethical, and timely data collection and entry using digital systems.
- Maintain updated project databases and tracking sheets.
- Ensure data quality assurance procedures are applied consistently.
C. Analysis, Reporting & Learning
- Analyze datasets to identify trends, gaps, and performance insights.
- Prepare summaries, dashboards, and visual reports for management and donors.
- Contribute to donor reporting and internal learning products.
- Document lessons learned and best practices for program improvement.
D. Accountability & Community Feedback
- Support establishment and monitoring of beneficiary feedback mechanisms.
- Ensure complaints and feedback are documented and addressed appropriately.
- Promote transparency and accountability in project implementation.
E. Coordination & Capacity Support
- Work closely with program teams to integrate MEAL into daily implementation.
- Provide technical guidance on monitoring tools and reporting practices.
- Support training of field staff on data collection and MEAL standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Development, Education, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, or MEAL roles in humanitarian or development projects, preferably education.
- Strong experience with indicator tracking, data systems, and reporting.
- Familiarity with donor compliance and results-based management approaches.
- Experience working in Syria or similar contexts is an asset.
- Fluency in Arabic and strong professional English writing skills.
Mandatory Requirements
- Ability to be permanently based in Al-Qusayr (Homs).
- Willingness to travel within project locations when needed.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to work under pressure.
