Shelter and WASH Coordinator - Beqaa Area

Location: Beqaa - Bar Elias

The Shelter and WASH Coordinator will work closely with the Program Manager and be responsible for overseeing and coordinating shelter and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programs. The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, implementation, and monitoring of these programs, ensuring their alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Roles And Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Program Manager in overseeing and coordinating shelter and WASH programs, ensuring effective execution in line with organizational strategies.
• Assess and analyze contextual developments, risks, and needs in shelter and WASH program areas, and contribute to the development of program strategies and new project proposals.
• Utilize relevant software programs and tools to support program planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
• Supervise and provide guidance to program teams, ensuring their adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish and maintain strategic partnerships for program implementation and resource mobilization.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, guidelines, and protocols in shelter and WASH programming.
• Collaborate with the Program Manager to develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans for shelter and WASH programs, ensuring data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Prepare high-quality reports, including narrative and financial components, for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the Program Manager in conducting regular field visits to monitor program activities, assess progress, and identify areas for improvement.
• Contribute to program budgeting, financial management, and procurement processes, in coordination with the Program Manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in shelter and WASH programming, preferably with international organizations.
• Proficiency in relevant software programs and tools used in shelter and WASH programming.(Autocad and etc..)
• Fluent in English, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong report writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and documentation.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience, including the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
• Knowledge of technical standards and guidelines in shelter and WASH programming.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Flexibility to travel and work in challenging environments, as required.
