Treasurer - Damascus

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cash Management

  • Maintain custody and security of cash funds and safes.
  • Receive and disburse cash against duly approved documents (RV, PV, PO, Salary Slip).
  • Maintain accurate daily cash log and supporting records.
  • Conduct regular cash counts and report balances to the Accountant.

2. Bank Transactions

  • Execute approved bank transfers, withdrawals, and deposits.
  • Maintain copies of bank notifications and supporting documents.
  • Ensure all transactions are executed in line with approved authorization levels.

3. Advances & Petty Cash

  • Manage petty cash within approved ceilings.
  • Disburse and receive approved work and personal advances.
  • Ensure timely settlement and documentation of advances.

4. Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare, sign, and archive treasury-related documents.
  • Obtain required beneficiary signatures prior to payment execution.
  • Adhere strictly to segregation of duties and internal control procedures.
  • Ensure proper archiving of all treasury documents in both hard copy and electronic formats in accordance with the Finance Policy.

  • Strong integrity and reliability.
  • Accuracy in cash handling and numerical calculations.
  • Basic knowledge of banking procedures.
  • Understanding of internal control principles.
