About the Hariri Foundation (HF)
The Hariri Foundation for Sustainable Human Development is a Lebanese non-governmental organization founded in 1979. Member of ECOSOC with special status, it aims to achieve sustainable human development at the regional, national and local levels through investing in the human capital. Through its diverse set of programs, the organization localizes, delivers and mainstreams advanced educational, participatory and developmental models aiming to transform education, promote active citizenship, and build urban resilience.
The Hariri Foundation seeks to strengthen partnerships between the public, private and civic sectors through establishing and supporting sectoral networks and communities of practice. Through international, national, and local partnerships and a diverse set of engagement programs, the organization strives to facilitate evidence-based policy addressing global development transformations and scientific frameworks.
A. Purpose of the Assignment
The Communications Officer will lead the development and implementation of project communications, visibility, and content outputs, ensuring timely and high-quality documentation of the project journey and alignment with donor visibility requirements.
B. Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities
The Communications Officer will:
- Develop and implement a project communications and visibility plan.
- Prepare outreach and communications materials for calls for applications, participant engagement, events, and project milestones.
- Document project activities, including trainings, dialogue events, CAP implementation, and showcase moments.
- Coordinate project storytelling and visibility across Hariri Foundation, partner, and media channels as relevant.
- Coordinate with Enmaeya and related media/content actors on podcasts, interviews, stories, and public-facing outputs.
- Draft social media content, captions, website text, summaries, talking points, and communications briefs as needed.
- Ensure donor branding and visibility requirements are respected across project outputs.
- Support collection of participant stories, testimonials, photos, videos, and human-interest content where relevant and appropriate.
- Coordinate with designers, photographers, videographers, and content developers as needed.
- Maintain organized archives of communications products and visibility records.
- Provide inputs to narrative reports related to communication and visibility.
- Support communication and visibility for the final showcase / closing event.

D. Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in communications, media, content creation, or project visibility.
- Strong writing and editing skills in Arabic and English.
- Experience in social media, storytelling, and communications for development projects.
- Ability to manage communication workflows with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working with youth-focused or governance/civil society initiatives is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
