Call for Volunteers – Community-Based Activities Facilitators - Beirut

himaya is seeking motivated and committed volunteers to support the implementation of community-based activities for children and caregivers in Beirut and Bourj Hammoud.

The selected volunteers will play an important role in supporting children and families through structured psychosocial and recreational activities within their communities.

Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct outreach and engage with children, adolescents, and caregivers in the targeted communities.
• Prepare and facilitate Community-Based Psychosocial Support (CBPSS) activities.
• Support the creation of safe and inclusive spaces for participants.
• Identify and report child protection concerns and refer suspected cases of abuse or vulnerability to the Community Mobilizer according to established referral pathways.
• Participate in regular coordination meetings and capacity-building trainings.
• Contribute to activity planning, implementation, and reporting when required.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants should:

• Be 16 years old plus
• Reside in Beirut or Bourj Hammoud and have a good understanding of the local context and community dynamics.
• Be willing and able to commit to the volunteer role for a period of two years.
• Be available to attend mandatory trainings, coordination meetings, and activity sessions.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and an interest in working with children, adolescents, and caregivers.
• Show commitment to child safeguarding, confidentiality, and humanitarian principles.
• Preferably having social or psychology background or any other related field.
