Executive Director

Main Tasks:

  • Work with the board of directors and  key leaders within the organization to develop the strategic plan for the NGO
  • Represent the organization legally, with government entities, donor organizations and on an international level
  • Lead the organization in fund raising, communication, and manage relationsg with donors
  • Ensure that the activities developed are of good quality and relevant to the mission, vision, policies and procedures of the organization
  • Promote awareness of the organization to the outside community, maintain relationships with current and potential funding sponsors and network with other NGOs
  • Make sure that finances are run efficiently
  • Present the annual budget and make sure that all other financial tasks are completed in an efficient and timely matter
  • Protect the assets of the NGO against fraud and financial abuse
  • Maintain structure by sending out notices, providing agenda, and coordinating meetings with the Board of Directors 
  • Manage the legal department, fundraising department, quality department and finance department, Human resources and IT
  • Ensure maximum resources utilization
  • Monitor the Key Performance Indicators of all departments
  • Identify and evaluate the risks to the organization; report to the board and propose implementation measures to mitigate them
  • Provide training and guidance for managerial level
  • Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem
  • Motivate employees by being inspiring and remaining optimistic even when challenges are being faced
  • Conduct 3rd level interviews for legal department, fundraising department, quality department, accounting and finance department
  • Conduct the yearly performance appraisal for the above departments’ managers
  • Conduct technical and final interviews for Legal Unit Coordinator, Operational Director, and Finance Manager.
  • Responsible of managing the overall budget of the organization

Educational Background, Experience And Needed Skills  

  • More than 15 years experience in related field
  • NGO Experience is a must
  • Ability to lead and inspire people
  • Knowledge in psychology, resilience, rights related to child protection
  • Knowledge in budget and finance management
  • Strategic thinking
  • Excellent organization skills and communication skills
