Call for Translator

1. Objective: 
Hivos MENA is seeking a translator with extensive years of experience in translating gender and/or other rights-based  material from English to Arabic and French. 

2.  Deliverables: The consultant is expected to deliver the material translated from English (source language) to Arabic and French (two target languages)

3. Duration & Time frame: The translator is expected to translate the material (approximately 13,500 words) within  three months from the start date of the agreement.

4. Required Qualifications
⎯Advanced degree in translation, social sciences, human rights, gender studies, or a related field.
⎯Proven experience in translating material, research, reports, or other related to rights of diverse groups and communities.
⎯Strong understanding of the socio-political context in Jordan, Lebanon and Tunisia.
⎯Excellent editorial skills.
⎯Fluency in English, Arabic, and French.
