PRESENTATION OF HANDICAP INTERNATIONAL Handicap International is an independent and impartial international aid organization working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. Working alongside persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, our action and testimony are focused on responding to their essential needs, improving their living conditions and promoting respect for their dignity and their fundamental rights. It operates as a federation made up of a network of associations that provide it with human and financial resources, manage its projects and implement its actions and social mission.   For more details on the association: http://www.handicap-international.org   Handicap International is composed of 3 operational divisions: Emergency Response Division (ERD) Mines Division Development Division   MISSION CONTEXT   The Emergency Response Division in Lebanon was created in April 2012.  The provision of support to health structure is provided directly by Handicap International physiotherapist and technical advisor.  The identification, assessment of the needs, referral and direct provision of services is done trough 18 outreach teams (composed of one social worker as case manager and one physiotherapist supported by 4 psychologists and/or psychosocial workers) and trough 4 fixed points in the communities (in community centers to allow more efficiency reducing the time to reach the beneficiaries). An additional team in Bekaa and North Lebanon will be focusing on the community sensitization, training to humanitarian workers and the identification of potential local partners. In Lebanon, the provision of household essential items including food, NFI and unconditional cash assistance to cover essential winter basic needs of the most vulnerable refugee newcomers will be done in HI area of intervention (54 villages in Central and West Bekaa) through current dedicated outreach teams and distribution teams.     ACCOUNTABILITIES   Line manager: Facility Assistant........................................................................................................................................ Line manager+1: Logistics Officer.........................................................................................................................     RESPONSIBILITIES   Objectives   Activities/Main duties :   1. Perform common household tasks to maintain a clean place.     a. Sweeping and mopping floors, dusting all rooms, daily     b. Cleaning and disinfecting all washrooms (toilet, sink, shower) daily     c. Throwing the trash daily and making sure it is incinerated    d. Cleaning walls and windows monthly 2. Clean and disinfect washrooms to the required standard once a day and change towels twice a week 3. Make sure soap and toilet paper are available in all washrooms at all times 4. Empty litter bins and removing waste to designated areas. Incinerate waste once a week. 5. Spray cleaning, scrubbing floors and re-sealing with polish 6. Wash dishes, cups, and keep the office kitchen clean. 7. Deep cleaning of kitchen, fridge and the kitchen cupboards (inside and outside) once a week, clean the cooker daily. 8. Deep cleaning of bathrooms once a week  9. Cleaning walls, windows and corridors in case of raining or other debris 10. Help Logistic Department to provide items from store on their requests 11. Manage the stock of cleaning items and welfare in office in a rational manner and make requests for purchases of additional items in a timely manner. 12. Perform relevant tasks as may be directed by the supervisor (copies, etc.) 13. Clear up after flooding and/or any other emergency cleaning 14. Clean the lawn, corridor and car park place (outside cleaning) 15. Undertake any other duties which may reasonably be regarded as within the nature of the duties and responsibilities 16. Continuous monitoring of the cleanliness of facilities and other equipment 17. Move furniture once a week and clean behind and underneath 18. Inform the Supervisor for the need of extensive repairs and other major renovations in the work area 19. Make simple repairs that do not need professional help 20.
