Reporting to: Admin Officer NGO PRESENTATION   Handicap International is an independent and impartial international aid organisation working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. Working alongside persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, our action and testimony are focused on responding to their essential needs, improving their living conditions and promoting respect for their dignity and their fundamental rights.   Handicap International is a not-for-profit organisation with no religious or political affiliation. It operates as a federation made up of a network of associations that provide it with human and financial resources, manage its projects and implement its actions and social mission.   Through its Emergency Response Department (ERD), created in 2006 after the merge with Atlas Logistique, the organization is committed to: Provide an adequate response to major natural      disaster and conflict situations, anywhere in the world as much as      possible within 72 hours; Provide assistance to vulnerable groups      (refugees, IDPs, persons with injuries, elders, children, etc.) affected      by a crisis and maximize the number of beneficiaries. Within vulnerable      groups, target especially PwD and meet their specific needs; Constantly monitor chronic crises and/or      conflicts to ensure preparedness for and rapid response to eventual      emerging needs.        HI has been present in the Middle East since 1987 through its Development Department. HI started from early April 2012 a new project at the regional level aiming at the recognition and respect of the rights of PwD by the authorities and institutions, through the reinforcement of the Disabled People’s Organisations (DPO) and the disability movement at large. In Lebanon, in addition to the regional project, HI has been implemented a project aiming at improving the access to mental health rehabilitation services for the children with psychological distress living in the Palestinian camps.At last, in 2010, HI established the only humanitarian demining capacity in northern Lebanon (Batroun Region) Action Center (LMAC) in achieving its goal of making Lebanon mine impact free by 2020.      MISSION CONTEXT   Following the yearlong crisis in the Syrian Arab Republic, that has caused the displacement of civilians in Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan, Handicap International is implementing projects in Lebanon and Jordan, aiming at mitigating the impact of the crisis on the Syrian refugees and the host communities. In Lebanon as well as in Jordan, Handicap International aims to improve the access to emergency rehabilitation cares for the Syrian refugees at hospital and community level and to improve the coverage of the specific needs of the most vulnerable people affected by the crisis at the community level. In Lebanon, the targeted areas are the northern Bekaa Valley and Tripoli, whereas in Jordan, the targeted area is the northern region closed to the boarder.     GLOBAL OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION   Based in Zahle, under direct supervision of the admin you will be responsible for maintaining general cleanliness of office, respecting rules of hygiene, and washing and ironing of all expatriates clothes.   RESPONSIBILITIES   ·Cleaning. ·Maintaining. ·Cooking.   HIERARCHICAL RELATIONSHIPS Line manager: Administration Officer Line manager+1: Administration Base   RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS DESCRIPTION   ·Perform common household tasks to maintain a clean place for office and guest house ·Manage the stock of cleaning items and welfare in office in a rational manner and make requests for purchases of additional items in a timely manner. ·Iron clothes upon request ·Ensure to change and clean sheets and towels after guests’ departure in guests rooms ·Ensure the purchasing of all  the relevant ingredients necessary for the preparation of the daily meals ·Ensure a variety in the daily meals prepared ·Prepare the daily lunch rapidly and effectively while keeping a clean environment and taking into consideration the exact and appropriate quantities that should be served ·Perform common household tasks to maintain a clean place. Sweeping and mopping floors, dusting all rooms, daily Cleaning and disinfecting all washrooms (toilet, sink, shower) daily Throwing the trash daily Cleaning walls and windows monthly ·Clean and disinfect washrooms to the required standard once a day and change towels twice a week ·Make sure soap and toilet paper are available in all washrooms at all times ·Empty litter bins and removing waste to designated areas. ·Spray cleaning, scrubbing floors and re-sealing with polish ·Wash dishes, cups, and keep the office kitchen clean ·Deep cleaning of kitchen, fridge and the kitchen cupboards (inside and outside), clean the cooker daily ·Deep cleaning of bathrooms ·Cleaning walls, windows and corridors in case of raining or other debris ·Help Logistic Department to provide items from store on their requests ·Perform relevant tasks as may be directed by the supervisor (copies, etc.) ·Clear up after flooding and/or any other emergency cleaning ·Undertake any other duties which may reasonably be regarded as within the nature of the duties and responsibilities ·Continuous monitoring of the cleanliness of facilities and other equipment ·Move furniture once a week and clean behind and underneath ·Inform the Supervisor for the need of extensive repairs and other major renovations in the work area ·Make simple repairs that do not need professional help ·Implement security measures such as closing doors and windows at the end of your work   Note that this job description must remain flexible, to respond to additional tasks or changes as identified by the line manager.     TIME SCHEDULE The working hours are considered as part time to be defined later.     Required skills   The ability to integrate completely in the heart of a multi-disciplinary team. Be rigorous, honest, calm and polite Ability to work under pressure, in unstable contexts Arabic, speaking and writing English, speaking and writing French language is a plus
