Under the direct responsibility of the AM&EL Coordinator and in close collaboration with the operational team, the Database Assistant is responsible to:
1. Ensure the quality of the data entry:
Enter the data collected by field teams in the database (assessment forms, follow up, distribution; discharge/monitoring information, etc.)
Ensure the consolidation of databases
Ensure the quality of the data entry in the different databases
Reconcile data entries with hard copies, to ensure proper entry and cross checking;
Ensures adaption of the databases according to the project’s needs
2. Ensure adaptions of the database according to the project’s needs, in close collaboration with the operational team:
Report any discrepancies between the database and the documents used by the teams on the field
Propose improvements of the database and of the documents used by the team on the field and ensure the adaption of these documents as needed
3. Reporting
Provide weekly activity report including problems experienced with data entry
Extract data upon request
4. Ensure confidentiality of the data management:
Respect the total confidentiality of the data collected and entered
Ensure security of the database and files
5. Demonstrate an ethic and professional practice:
Respect beneficiary’s confidentiality.
Respect and promote HI’s Policies and report to your line manager any non respect of HI’s policies amongst the teams or partners.
Address needs and requests in a professional way.
Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others.
