Disability And Vulnerability Focal Point Officer

THE JOB Based in northern Bekaa, under the direct responsibility of the disability and vulnerability focal point (DVFP) project manager and as supervisor of the DVFP team, you will  1.     Organize and ensure the daily activities of a multi profiles team and coordinate between different members of the teams to ensure a good response to beneficiary needs: Develop, with the DVFP project manager and in close collaboration with the team, the Project Action Plan. Ensure all tasks assigned to staff in the Project Action Plan are achieved within the planned timeframe; keeping in mind planned deadlines and expected results. Continuously monitor any changes in the current crisis (with regards to the previous points), work with teams to identify potential solutions and report all relevant information to DVFP PM  so a joint decision can be taken to modify activities to better meet identified needs and to reach planned indicators. With the team, develop a beneficiary identification, support and follow-up mechanism. Draw on the expertise of the Technicians to ensure good quality interventions at field level Under the direction of the Project Manager, meet with other local and international actors in the area of intervention to discuss potential referral mechanisms or partnerships. Represent Handicap international during meetings and act under it’s principles. Work in close collaboration with our local partner to plan activities and provide any technical, financial or logistic support. 2.     Supervise teams activities and make sure of quality of these : Organize teams to run identification, analyzis, assessment of the beneficiaries, rehabilitation cares, psychosocial support… and make good assessment of specific and basic needs of the beneficiaries Supervise and control datas registration with the data/monitoring officer Ensure a qualitative analysiz of needs found by the teams, requiring the technicians advices and plans 3.  Maintain work secure: In close collaboration with the Project Manager, create the planning of the team Manage the daily activities and movements of mobile teams in the field With the Project Manager, work about security issues in the area 4.   Follow up Human Resources and logistic In direct link with Project Manager, and with the administration, have a global view on HR needs and issues to be able to refer when needed Identify any training needs of the field teams and relay these needs to the relevant Technical Officers and where relevant, support the Technical Officers to implement appropriate trainings Work with the logistic department to organize efficient distribution mechanisms for all items to be distributed to beneficiaries 5.     Monitoring and Reporting Ensure all field teams are making appropriate records of their activities with beneficiaries (beneficiary assessment and follow-up forms, referral forms, donation certificates, etc), and link this information with the data/monitoring  in a timely manner Ensure to regularly monitor the activities of the field teams for quality, efficiency and appropriate response to the identified needs and report directly to the Project Manager Support the field teams to correctly complete all the required reporting (statistics, field activity reports, etc.) Write regular (weekly, monthly) reports on activities and progress towards indicators 6.  Demonstrate an ethic and professional practice Respect beneficiary confidentiality. Address needs and requests in a professional way. Always work to assure own, colleague and beneficiary security. Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others. .
