PRESENTATION OF HANDICAP INTERNATIONAL
Handicap International is an independent and impartial international aid organization working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. Working alongside persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, our action and testimony are focused on responding to their essential needs, improving their living conditions and promoting respect for their dignity and their fundamental rights.Handicap International is a not-for-profit organization with no religious or political affiliation. MISSION CONTEXT
The Emergency Response Division in Lebanon was created in April 2012. The provision of support to health structure is provided directly by Handicap International physiotherapist and technical advisor. The identification, assessment of the needs, referral and direct provision of services is done trough outreach teams (composed of one social worker as case manager and one physiotherapist supported by psychologists and/or psychosocial workers) and trough fixed points in the communities (in community centers to allow more efficiency reducing the time to reach the beneficiaries).
GLOBAL OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
Under the line management of Database Officer, the Database Assistant is responsible for transforming the data collected by the teams in the database, both in the main office and in the centers.

RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES
Objective 1: Ensure the global quality of the data entry and reporting in Zahle, Arsal and Baalbeck
Activities/Main duties:
Participate in the field teams’ training about the data collection on the field
Regularly transfer to the Centers and timely enter the data collected
Enter the data collected by the field team in the database
Ensure data entered is correct and crosschecked with paper version
Inform the teams on any mistake or missing information done in data collection
Ensure accuracy and quality of the data entered and within the respect of deadlines
Objective 2: Participate on program reporting
Activities/Main duties:
Regularly report on quantity of data entered
Daily report of issues encountered
Report to the line manager any discrepancy in the database and with the data collection tools
Produce extraction of data in the formats required
Provide weekly reports
Participate in the production of internal reports (PM Box…)
Produce data analysis in link with data entry process
Objective 3: Ensure proper arrangement of the data collection tools
Activities/Main duties:
Range all files in proper place both in the main office and the Centers
Transfer the closed files from the Centers to the main office and archive them
Objective 4: Ensure confidentiality of the data
Activities/Main duties:
Respect the total confidentiality of the data collected and entered
Ensure never to speak about data collected within the project
Ensure security of the database and files, both in the main office and the Centers
Objective 5: To demonstrate an ethic and professional practice
Activities/Main duties
Respect beneficiary confidentiality
Respect and promote HI’s Policies and report to your line manager any no respect of HI’s policies amongst the teams or partners
Address needs and requests in a professional way
Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others
Always interact with children with the presence of their parents or caregivers
Always respect a refusal of treatment.
Objective 6: Demonstrate willingness to improve professional competences and abilities to increase care quality
