For more details on the association: http://www.handicap-international.org Handicap International is composed of 2 operational divisions:• Humanitarian Action Division• Development Division MISSION CONTEXTContext of the position:The actual intervention context is characterized by remote management modalities of intervention, through Partners. Bring constant support and guidance to the teams and maintain technical quality in the frame of HI integrated approach is the main challenge to take up. Objectives:Under the responsibility of the Emergency Program Manager, the Information management Support (IM Support) will support the Basic Needs operations of HI and its partners as well as all activities related to information management. According to the position, the IM support must keep all the data confidential, and share it only with the designated persons. ACCOUNTABILITIESLine manager: Emergency Program ManagerLine manager+1: Area Coordinator MAIN TASKS 1. Mobile Data Collection (MDC)o Identify a mobile data system to be used according to HI’s partners expertise/experience o Support the emergency team in the creation of mobile data collection forms: assessments, PDM and other documents requested o Create and write a simple methodology between the collection of data on the field and the analysis of the data by the program team (data extraction, etc) o Train the Emergency Program team on data collection/data extraction and analysiso Establish an action plan for roll out and follow up per partner according to their needs and capacities 2. Activity Info maintenanceo Update the platform according to the development of assessments done by HI’ partner memberso Link with the Activity Info provider and follow-up on development and potential issues with the platform o Ensure the quality (accurate data) and overall maintenance of the platform in line with HI’s partnerso Provide technical support to Emergency PM, NGOs, INGOs, and HI’s partners in the use of Activity Info. o Follow up and propose development of new Activity Info functionalities according to needs identified and expressed by users o Analyze technical feasibility of linking Mobile Data Collection to Activity Info (ODK, Kobo, etc)o If needed, propose other IM system to improve efficiency and ensure the improvement of the overall emergency response process 3. GIS Supporto Create GIS maps upon request by the Emeregcny program manager and/or HI’s partnes members 4. Data Visualisationo Provide data visualizations based on program requirementso Support requirementsSupport the creation of reports detailing the findings of data collection 5. Training and Capacity Buildingo Support partner staff in reporting and data managemento Support and train if necessary partner staff in using MDC technology and any other kind of technology use in the frame of the project 6. External Coordinationo Winterization response:• Follow up on the and update the tool accordingly• Ensure data collected from partner organizations is consistent and compatible format, enabling information sharing and analysis• Support data cleaning, consolidation, quality control and information verification on data collectedo Upon request of the emergency PM and/or HI’s partners complete requests related to information management and coordination;o Attend and follow up in external coordination upon request;o Ensure timely dissemination of necessary information to team members, partners and other stakeholders;o Ensure a good collaboration and close interaction with the partners and other stakeholders to ensure quality of data collection and good working relationships Note that this job description must remain flexible, to respond to additional tasks or changes as identified by the line manager.
