GLOBAL OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION   Ensure a professional support on IT on a national level (Beirut including Regional Base + Bases) in terms of hardware and software, networks, back-up system and telecommunications.   RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS DESCRIPTION 1.   Ensure professional logistical activity:      1.1   Edit HI IT procedures and guidelines:       1.1.1       Update and validate adapted IT and telecommunication procedures and guidelines for HI Lebanon.      1.1.2       Ensure that IT procedures and guidelines are respected on a country level.      1.1.3       Organize specific trainings/workshops to enhance HI members’ IT skills.      1.1.4       Maintain good communication lines within the logistics department on Beirut and on the bases and retain                      good coordination with all parties.       1.2   Report, Audit and Administer:        1.2.1       Collect and centralize all equipment data related to IT in Beirut, Tripoli and Zahle Bases.      1.2.2       Edit in collaboration with your Line Manager a weekly activity report and forecast (Procurement,                     Maintenance, IT Stock, and TSE).      1.2.3       Edit a systematic field visit report.      1.2.4       Enhance and monitor the quality of the IT service using a proper assessment form.      1.2.5       Fill up the IT part of the monthly logistic report.      1.2.6       Organize an adapted report on maintenance of the IT equipment on a country level.      1.2.7       Inform your line manager, technical advisor and logistics managers on any problem related to IT in Beirut                    and the bases.     1.3   Ensure data security:        1.3.1       Ensure a continuous back-up system of all computers on a country level in line with the procedure.      1.3.2       Supervise the maintenance and the user’s training of the NAS system on a country level in order to secure                    data sharing and back-up.      1.3.3       Conduct regular updates on the antivirus licenses on all laptops on a country level.      1.3.4       Advise HI members on how to maintain database security and confidentiality.      1.3.5       Ensure an adequate, accurate and secured IT system for premises and offices (Internet connection, NAS                     storage, Back-up systems, telecommunication devices and restrictions)      1.3.6       Ensure the management of the telecommunication devices, restrictions and the communication with the                    supplier.       1.4   IT Technical support for Bases:        1.4.1       Visit regularly the bases to ensure a proper IT follow-up and maintenance status.      1.4.2       Express the IT related purchases needed on Bases in line with the logistics manager and transfer them to                    the relative supply assistant.      1.4.3       Support Supply Assistant on bases in identifying local suppliers, and collecting quotations.      1.4.4       Be the focal point with telecommunication and equipment companies on technical issues (internet,                          laptops, hardware, software, mobile phone, IT related projects)      1.4.5       Support the Programs on IT tools:          1.4.5.1 Adapt IT tools to support activities when requested.          1.4.5.2  Adapt IT tools for HI catalogs (DVFP, NFI, Logistic…): be the focal point accordingly.       1.5   Stocks and Inventory of Equipments:        1.5.1       Ensure the respect of HI IT related stock management procedure: Stock items request, stock cards,                    delivery notes and lending certificate.      1.5.2       Carry out regular inventory update of the equipment of Beirut base to maintain a good level of stock                    accordingly.      1.5.3       Monitor the equipment inventories on the bases in line with the logistics team.      1.5.4       Ensure the updating of the TSE for Beirut base (table of follow-up of equipment) on a weekly basis. And                    compile the TSE on a country level to be sent with the monthly report.   RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES OF LOGISTICS IT OFFICER DESCRIBED IN THIS JOB DESCRIPTION ARE NOT EXHAUSTIVE AND CAN EVOLVE ACCORDING TO PROJECT NEEDS. PROFILE REQUIRED Professional background 1 to 2 years experience in IT At least 1 previous experience in humanitarian context, preferably in emergency response ; INGO working experience is real advantage Personal qualities Adaptation to specific working conditions Capacity to work in team and autonomously Capacity to work in an multidisciplinary and multicultural team Dynamism, high level of motivation Willingness to learn new skills and/or approaches Good capacity to interact with members of the team and different communities. Good communication and listening skills Common sense and analysis data competencies Proactive Excellent computers skills Additional skills   Fluent in English mandatory (oral and written), French would be an asset; Fluent in Arabic mandatory;   EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:  Masters degree in Computer science or equivalent   CONTRACT CONDITIONS Period of employment: According to projects’duration Starting date: As soon as possible The salary will be defined regarding the HI salary scale on-going.
