PRESENTATION OF HANDICAP INTERNATIONAL
Handicap International is an independent and impartial international aid organization working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. MISSION CONTEXT
The Emergency Response Division in Lebanon was created in April 2012. The provision of support to health structure is provided directly by Handicap International physiotherapist and technical advisor. The identification, assessment of the needs, referral and direct provision of services is done trough 18 outreach teams (composed of one social worker as case manager and one physiotherapist supported by 4 psychologists and/or psychosocial workers) and trough 4 fixed points in the communities (in community centers to allow more efficiency reducing the time to reach the beneficiaries). An additional team in Bekaa and North Lebanon will be focusing on the community sensitization, training to humanitarian workers and the identification of potential local partners. In Lebanon, the provision of household essential items including food, NFI and unconditional cash assistance to cover essential winter basic needs of the most vulnerable refugee newcomers will be done in HI area of intervention (54 villages in Central and West Bekaa) through current dedicated outreach teams and distribution teams.

In direct cooperation with: Projects and Support Services departments
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Logistics tasks
Provide assistance with logistics issues related to Movement, IT, Accommodation, Facilities management (providing all the information required and ensuring proper follow-up);
Make sure that all equipment files are complete with all the documents and validation required; (identification, inventory, affectation, equipment files) through a monthly update;
Check the merchandise purchased for quality and quantity, control the conformity of the goods upon suppliers delivery and request technical validation by Program manager if any doubts;
Ensure the collected documents are compliant with HI procedures: supplier stamp, signature...etc;
Keep update the purchase follow-up tools and suppliers register;
Make sure that purchase folders are complete using with all the documents and validation required;
Provide monthly scan and backup of all logistics documents (Contracts, Equipment cards, Quotations etc.).
Realize small purchases needed for the Office respecting HI and Donor regulations;
2. Support to Finance Department
Provide assistance in translating partners’ invoices and monthly accountancy scanning once per month;
Provide assistance in the Human resources follow-up: Attendance sheets, leave requests and follow-up and fidelity claims;
REQUIREMENTS
Background: Bachelor Degree in Logistics, and/or Business Administration; At least 1 year experience on the same position; Experience with NGO is a strong asset
Languages: Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English
Computer skills: Very good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Personal qualities & soft skills: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team ; Strong organizational and communication skills ; Rigorous and precise ; Practical approach;
JOB CONDITIONS
Remuneration: according to HI salary grid
Starting date: ASAP
Duration/ Type of contract: 6 months contract renewable upon funds availability
