PRESENTATION OF HANDICAP INTERNATIONAL Handicap International is an independent and impartial international aid organization working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. Working alongside persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, our action and testimony are focused on responding to their essential needs, improving their living conditions and promoting respect for their dignity and their fundamental rights. Handicap International is a not-for-profit organization with no religious or political affiliation. It operates as a federation made up of a network of associations that provide it with human and financial resources, manage its projects and implement its actions and social mission.   For more details on the association: http://www.handicap-international.org   Handicap International is composed of 3 operational divisions: Emergency Response Division (ERD) Mines Division Development Division   MISSION CONTEXT   The Emergency Response Division in Lebanon was created in April 2012. The provision of support to health structure is provided directly by Handicap International physiotherapist and technical advisor. The identification, assessment of the needs, referral and direct provision of services is done through 18 outreach teams (composed of one social worker as case manager and one physiotherapist supported by 4 psychologists and/or psychosocial workers) and through 4 fixed points in the communities (in community centers to allow more efficiency reducing the time to reach the beneficiaries). An additional team in Bekaa and North Lebanon will be focusing on the community sensitization, training to humanitarian workers and the identification of potential local partners. In Lebanon, the provision of unconditional cash assistance to cover essential winter basic needs of the most vulnerable refugee newcomers will be done in HI area of intervention through current dedicated outreach teams and distribution teams.   MAIN RESPONSABILITIES Based in Tripoli, under the direct responsibility of the Deputy Program Manager and with the support of the Technical Unit, you will be responsible for: Mapping of the stakeholders, mainly health structures and local organizations in the area of intervention (North Lebanon) Assessing the capacity of the structures identified following the format developed by the mission Collect all data’s gathered in a data base and share it regularly with N+1 Participating in design of partnership activities and their follow up Reporting on the above activities as per requested by your line manager. Work in close collaboration with the field team  and Referral Focal Point   MAIN TASKS PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION The aim of the identification is identify and develop potential partnership. To be in charge of the mapping of services providers, namely identify and assess: the  organisations (national and international) to be trained in inclusion health structures to be supported (equipment, material, tools) and trained (equal access, inclusion, capacity building, physiotherapist) LNGO to be supported (equipment, material, tools) and trained (equal access, inclusion) local human resources to be trained Structures (health structures, LNGO, schools, municipality,etc.) to be rehabilitated to facilitate the accessibility. Analysis of potential barriers and limitation. structures that can potentially be involved in the management of the HI centres Be part of the establishment process for partnership and follow up, namely: Consolidate the assessments and present the results Participate in the discussion of the selection of partners and activities, drafting of MOU Follow up on implementation of the agreed activities with the newly established partners Coordinate with the Deputy Field Co and Field Co regarding the security assessment of the selected areas of operation REPORTING Participate to the monthly situation report (SITREP) by providing relevant information to your line-manager Provide weekly reporting on your activities to your line manager Ensure the compilation and recording of all activities and impact measurement Contribute to the production and dissemination of specific data analysis Support reporting when requested Produce final report at the end of the contract. REQUIRED PROFILE Academic background in public health, rehabilitation, physiotherapy is expected At least 3 years of professional experience, including positiveexperience in community base projects in the field Previous experience in partnership collaboration and/or assessments/evaluation is strongly recommended Strong organisational skills Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills Strong communication and external representation skills English and Arabic mandatory (oral and written) Excellent knowledge of North Lebanon and its humanitarian context Dynamism, high level of motivation Flexibility and availability Ability to work in all parts of Tripoli, Akkar and North Lebanon is mandatory SKILLS Good communication and listening skills Languages Skills English and Arabic mandatory (oral and written). French would be an asset   Computer Skills    Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, especially Excel, Word and Power Point.
