Liaison activities
1.Humanitarian intelligence and development of activities
Follow up and gather information related to humanitarian response in designed areas or areas where events are reported (relevant reports published, new actors, gaps identified, etc);
Map the humanitarian stakeholders and their response in these areas;
Identify potential partners at field level in line with HI strategy
2.Security / Context analysis
Collect, verify and analyze relevant information on the context and security issues
Inform the Operations Coordinator of any security issue faced on the field by the partners’ team, keeping a clear report on incidents and location of incidents
Follow-up the partners staff’s movements as much as possible, using adapted tools
3.External representation
Ensure the representation of HI towards external actors with whom operational links are necessary to implement the activities, in close coordination with the Operations Coordinator and when demanded by her/him
After clearance of your line manager, represent HI towards organizations identified as potential partners,
Represent HI towards organizations already linked with HI by a signed MoU
4.Reporting
Report any specific problem that may jeopardize the activities and suggest solutions
Write minutes of all meetings for capitalization and send to Operations Coordinator
Update organizations’ mapping tool.
5.Translation
Ensure the translation of necessary tools for the operations and documents sent by the partner
Ensure an effective translation oral and or written of project documents / meetings from Arabic to English and from English to Arabic.
Current projects’ follow-up
By delegation of the Operations coordinator:
1.General follow-up
Plan and lead weekly meetings with the partner’s focal-point
Follow-up the partner team’s work and monitor their work progress plan (weekly basis through the meetings with the focal point)
Upon request from the program team, liaise with the partner in order to collect any needed explanation about the project implementation (targets achieved, number of staff recruited / trained, etc.)
Report the difficulties reported by team members to the Operations Coordinator
2.Contractual follow-up
Ensure that the partner is complying with the MoU:
reporting is made on time,
the partner uses the appropriate monitoring tools.
Liaise with the partners and follow up if anything is needed/to be modified
Report to Operations Coordinator any discrepancy with the MoU.
3.Need expressed by the partner
Centralize all needs identified by the partner and inform the Operations Coordinator accordingly.
If HI buys the material from neighboring countries, organize the delivery of the equipment and material from HI to the partner
Projects’ monitoring & evaluation
Follow closely the progress of projects indicators in support to the OP Co general follow up;
Data management and compilation related to project activities, databases and beneficiaries breadkdowns in close link with projects managers
