RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES
Under the direct supervision of the P&O Manager, the P&O Supervisor’s main responsibilities are:
Skill acquisition
Work with P&O TA to learn technical elements of HI emergency P&O activities
Learn how to fabricate prosthetics using Proteor technology
Learn how to use a scanner to take CAD/CAM scans.
Learn how to replace an emergency socket with a CAD/CAM socket
Achieve competent level to be able train and support other staff to carry out these activities
Monitoring of P&O activities
Ensure that the monitoring documents are received on time and are filled properly.
Analyze all individual assessment forms sent by the local P&O staff and feedback to the partner supervisor if necessary
Transfer all the P&O assessment forms and follow up sheets to the Database Officer
Monitor the respect of HI P&O guidelines through the study of P&O assessment form
In case of clear/minor breach of these guidelines, report to P&O Technical Advisor and perform reminders of these guidelines to local P&O staff
In case of major/regular breach of these guidelines, report and submit recommendations for improvement to P&O TA and Technical Coordinator
Extract specific data through the documents sent weekly by each P&O team, compile and send to the relevant HI Rehab Manager (Lebanon)/Rehab Supervisor (Jordan)
Provide analysis of this data to the P&O TA
Ensure the written translation of all the documents upon P&O TA/Tech Co demand
Ensure weekly discussions and obtain information about any issue faced by the team in the implementation of the activities (linked to equipment, facilities, context…)
Report on these issues to the P&O TA and suggest potential improvements
Provision of technical support
Implement weekly case discussions with the partner P&O staff for all P&O issues faced by the team.
Analyze all P&O photos/videos sent by the team and provide recommendations to the team
Provide on-time feedback & support to the P&O issues faced on the field (or if not possible refer it to the P&O TA)
Assess the field difficulties related to P&O implementation and propose solutions to the P&O and needs for a proper implementation of P&O care and identify specific training needs and transfer to P&O TA
Support the P&O TA on the implementation of P&O tools and process
Ensure the translation of all P&O tools and process
Ensure the implementation of all P&O tools and process
Support the P&O TA for training organization and facilitation
Supervise the required logistics: orders requested material upon demand (in collaboration with the logistics department), check the availability of material like projector, white board, copies, setting up of the room, etc.
Support the P&O TA to assess the trainees’ level prior to start the session, and adjust the training contents accordingly in
Provide training sessions on P&O to P&O workers and other relevant staff as required by P&O TA
Ensure the trainees’ understanding & participation, and the good atmosphere of the sessions, according to the training methodology.
Support the P&O TA to assess the trainees’ level at the end of the training session.
Reporting and liaison
Perform weekly skype supervisions sessions (as a minimum)
Draft minutes of each meeting and send to P&O TA
Report of some case studies discussed with the P&O
Collect information other relevant information linked to P&O activities from partner staff

Trained P&O technician
At least 6 months working as a P&O technician
ISPO Category 1 or 2 qualification strongly preferred
University or college P&O training preferred
Humanitarian or NGO experience would be an asset

Abilities to properly communicate
Good educational / teaching skills
Motivated, dynamic; able and willing to take initiatives
Time and work management abilities as well as autonomy
Willing to learn and develop professionally
Open and interested in disability issues
Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic mandatory, French is an asset
