Rehabilitation Trainer

MISSION CONTEXT Following the year long crisis in the Syrian Arab Republic, that has caused the displacement of civilians in Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan, Handicap International is implementing projects in Lebanon and Jordan, aiming at mitigating the impact of the crisis on the Syrian refugees and the host communities. General objective of the position: The Rehabilitation trainer will provide training sessions, as well as training to future trainers. He /she will ensure the right translation of the training modules and the technical monitoring tools and will participate to improving the training modules and the technical monitoring tools. Tasks and responsibilities: Participation to the preparation of training sessions Study the contents of the training modules, and the teaching/training methodology with the Rehabilitation Technical Advisor. Ensure the writing translation from English into Arabic of all the training documents and of the tools needed for the training and the follow up. Supervise, prior to each session, the required logistics: orders requested material upon demand (in collaboration with the logistics department), check the availability of material like projector, white board, copies, setting up of the room, etc. Ensure the organization of the practical sessions for trainees  Provision of the training Assess the trainees’ level prior to start the session, and adjust the training contents accordingly Provide training sessions on Emergency Rehabilitation to the physiotherapists and Rehabilitation workers; and on training facilitation for the future physiotherapists’ trainers. Assess the trainees’ level at the end of the training. Participation to the impact survey of the training Participate to the elaboration of the training impact survey in close cooperation with the Rehabilitation Technical Advisor Participation to the selection of trainers Set up criteria to select future trainers among the trained physiotherapists Assess the capacities of each physiotherapist. Participate in close collaboration with the Rehabilitation Technical Advisor to the selection of the future trainers.  THE CANDIDATE’S REQUIREMENTS   Qualifications / Experience Certified physiotherapist Theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in traumatology, orthopedics, neurology and internal medicine , in war injuries Experience in hospital, in emergency Rehabilitation Experience with an NGO is an asset Experience on the provision of training  Languages Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic   Personal qualities Abilities to work within a team and collaborate Capacities to analyze and judge Abilities to properly communicate Good educational / teaching skills Motivated, dynamic; able and willing to take initiatives Time and work management abilities as well as autonomy Willing to learn and develop professionally Open and interested in disability issues
