Social Work Supervisor

  1-ENSURING THE SOCIAL TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO DVFP STAFFS Activities:  -  Ensuring a regular supervision of the social workers through field visits and files follow-up in order to supervise the quality of the social activities and the respect of the DVFP approach; -  Ensuring regular trainings to the DVFP staffs according to the needs identified by the project or directly by the supervisor; -  Ensuring a regular evaluation of the “beneficiary pack” and other documents used at field level by SW; -  Ensuring the good understanding and filling of the “beneficiary pack”; -  Ensuring the good understanding of the tasks, roles and responsibilities of the SW according to HI strategy and approach; -  Ensuring the good understanding of the referral process; -  Collaborating in elaboration of any technical tools or documents; -  Participating to the planning and files management of the SW; -  Participating to the recruitment of field social staff through the elaboration of technical tests; -  Participating to project meetings upon request; -  Proposing change, updates and improvements of relevant social activities or approach according to HI strategy; -  Proposing change, updates and/or implementation of relevant technical tools according to the needs.   2- ENSURING REGULAR REPORTING TO PARTICIPATE TO THE CAPITALIZATION OF THE PROJECT Activities: -  Ensuring regular reporting on your activities to your line manager upon his/her request; -  Ensuring regular reporting to the DVFP staffs with feedbacks, advices and clear recommendations; -  Ensuring the monthly report (SITREP) to your line manager; -  Ensuring the elaboration of guidelines, mainstreaming documents and protocols; -  Collecting, following and analyzing the datas related to social activities.   3-ENSURING HI REPRESENTATION AND COORDINATION WITH EXTERNAL ACTORS Activities: -  Ensuring trainings of external actors and partners according to the needs and upon your line manager request; -  Participating to external working groups and other meetings gathering relevant stakeholders; -  Collaborating with external partners.   PROFILE REQUIRED Professional background At least 1 year of professional experience in the field of vulnerability/disability; At least 1 year of professional experience in the field of Social Science; At least 1 previous experience in training/capacity building and coaching; At least 1 previous experience in humanitarian context, preferably in emergency response.   Ethic and professional practice Always respect of beneficiaries’ confidentiality; Respect and promote HI’s Policies and report to your line manager any non respect of HI’s policies amongst the teams or partners; Address needs and requests in a professional way; Report any incident or act that causes any harm to a beneficiary or to others.   Personal qualities Adaptation to specific working conditions; Capacity to work in a team and autonomously; Capacity to work in an multidisciplinary and multicultural team; Capacity to work under high pressure; Dynamism, high level of motivation; Flexibility and availability; Willingness to learn new skills and/or approaches; Good capacity to interact with members of the team and different communities; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Strong organizational skills.   Additional skills Fluent in English mandatory (oral and written), French would be an asset; Fluent in Arabic mandatory; Computer skills: Proficiency in current office software applications; Project management skills would be an asset.
