Under the overall supervision of the Processing Supervisor and the direct supervision of the In-Processing Supervisor, the successful candidate will perform the following functions:
Conducting personal interviews with refugee applicants.
Preparing refugee files for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), following guidelines set forth by USRAP.
Conduct interviews with refugee applicants in a dignified and professional manner, while maintaining the integrity of the Organization and adhering to the USRAP Code of Conduct. Record refugee statements by writing factual, accurate case histories that capture each applicant's individual persecution story.
Accurately record all biographic data and family relationships for all refugee applicants. Verify, translate, scan, and photocopy all documents required for each refugee file for the purpose of case preparation and/or employment verification.
Complete all data entry for cases that are created in the Worldwide Refugee Admissions Processing System (WRAPS).
Participate on a team under stressful conditions, while maintaining productive working relationships with other colleagues and implementing partners.
Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Adhere to all RSC’s guidance, security protocols and procedures.
Perfect command of Arabic, normally expected to the incumbent's main language. Excellent knowledge of English is required. Knowledge of additional language is an asset.
