Information System Assistant (Re-advertised)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Respond to queries either in person or over the phone to local team.
  • Train computer users on security awareness and basic usage.
  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
  • Respond to email messages for local team seeking help as well as being hands and eyes for HQ IS team.
  • Ask questions to determine nature of problem.
  • Walk local team through problem-solving process.
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software on client base.
  • Clean up computers.
  • Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS).
  • Install basic computer peripherals for users.
  • Follow up with local team to ensure issue has been resolved.
  • Gain feedback from local team about computer usage.
  • Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur.
  • Report to HQ IS team weekly.
  • Basic Knowledge with Cisco IP Telephones.
  • Take action on inventory lists.

  • Processing of periodically recurring tasks in order to be compliant with ISO 27001 security framework, NIST and ITIL needs. Developing and updating SOPs on IS processes,

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • University Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in related field.
  • Experience in working in a multicultural work environment
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English language, both written and verbal needed.
  • Respect for diversity.
  • Proven inter-personal skills and insight into conditions of refugees to treat them with patience and compassion, calmly and tactfully Attention to detail and ability to adopt and implement new procedures and guidance.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage workload
  • Patience and compassion.
  • Ability to identify problems and analyze alternatives to develop recommendations for improvements
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility to perform in a dynamic workplace with strict deadlines and at times with constant interruptions
