Community volunteers for kit distribution (local positions)

Qualifications, skills and experience:

• Minimum qualification required: At least High School degree.
• Knowledge of foreign languages: Excellent knowledge of Arabic and very good command of English and/or French.
• Degree of experience in the intervention sector: at least 0-1 year of previous experience in distribution activities in cooperations projects. Experience in emergency or first emergency in humanitarian aid is an advantage. Previous experience with SDCs and MoSA is also an advantage.
• Degree of experience in cooperation interventions: at least 0-1 year of experience in the field of cooperation with local or international NGOs/agencies.
• Soft Skills:

• Ability to work effectively in a sensitive environment and context;
• Working under pressure and flexibility;
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels;
• Understanding of the concept of confidentiality, data safety, etc. ;
• Teamwork.

Main functions and duties:

• Liase and coordinate with the project team in implementing kit distribution activities to beneficiaries (in SDCs, shelters, …) in the targeted area;
• Take part in the distribution processes (e.g: loading and unloading the kits, delivering the kits to the beneficiaries, checking the contents of the kits with the beneficiaries) and ensure they are conducted effectively and efficiently;
• Ensure the distribution reaches intended beneficiaries while tracking the number of kits distributed and locations covered;
• Prepare regular reports as required by the project team about distribution activities;
• If requested, support the project staff in data collection and post-distribution feedbacks;
• Report challenges or bottlenecks to the designated supervisor for prompt resolution.
