Position Overview

The Communication Officer will oversee and execute the communications strategy for both IDRAAC and MIND Clinics. This includes managing donor visibility requirements, handling media requests, creating content across multiple platforms, and ensuring both organizations maintain a strong, consistent, and professional public presence.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Branding

Develop, implement, and monitor integrated communication strategies for IDRAAC and MIND Clinics.

Maintain and enforce brand consistency across all communication channels, campaigns, and materials.

Position IDRAAC as a trusted authority in mental health advocacy and service delivery and MIND Clinics as a professional healthcare provider.

2. Donor & Partner Visibility

Manage all donor branding and visibility, including correct use of logos, disclaimers, safe margins, and bilingual captions.

Liaise directly with donor communications team (e.g., WHO, NMHP, GIZ, EU, IRC, World Bank) to ensure compliance and secure approvals.

Produce donor visibility reports and ensure all events and campaigns meet contractual requirements.

3. Media & Public Relations

Draft press releases, media notes, and official statements.

Build and maintain relationships with local and international media to ensure accurate coverage of activities and campaigns.

Handle all incoming media requests and connect them with the appropriate experts, support crisis communication when necessary.

4. Digital & Social Media

Manage and grow digital presence across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, TikTok).

Create engaging multimedia content tailored to audiences of both organizations.

Do paid boosting strategies to increase reach and engagement, Track analytics and prepare performance report.

Manage and update organizational websites, including content restructuring and creation, and technical follow-up.

5. Content Creation & multimedia

Draft, edit, and publish content for websites, newsletters, brochures, reports, and awareness campaigns.

Develop success stories, impact highlights, and donor/stakeholder communication packages.

Design professional materials (infographics, posters, videos) to support advocacy and services.

6. Events & Campaigns

Plan, promote, and cover events (conferences, workshops, corporate wellness activities, awareness days).

Ensure visibility and branding are professionally delivered at all events (backdrop, signage, media coverage, etc.)

Ensure professional documentation and media coverage of all events.

7.Internal & External Communication

Support communication flow across both organizations’ teams.

Liaise with partners, stakeholders, donors, and clients to maintain strong relationships and clear information-sharing.

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field (Master’s is a plus).
• 2–4 years of relevant professional experience in communications, preferably in NGOs, healthcare, or corporate sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Arabic and English (French is an asset).
• Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing.
• Skills in design and multimedia (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing) are highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills, creativity, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Passion for mental health and social impact.
