Main duties and responsibilities will be:
- Facilitate the establishment and development of the girls’ committee (incl. recruitment, development of terms of reference, follow up, community mobilization, etc.)
- Develop and organize trainings to the Committee members on psychosocial support (PSS), Protection and gender key topics;
- Support the Girls’ committee in planning and organizing girls-led initiatives involving both refugees and host community and their relations with external stakeholders, including municipalities;
- Mentor, monitor and supervise the work of the committee when applicable or needed and assess progress of implementation, provide solutions and report issues when needed;
- Support the committee members in identifying and referring vulnerable cases while working to ensure that the vulnerabilities of Syrian and Lebanese beneficiaries are reduced and their resilience strengthened;
- Facilitate awareness sessions and information dissemination sessions when needed;
- Track progress against activities and outputs as committed, and support team to adjust work plans to most effectively achieve targets;
- Prepare and submit activity plans and reports as requested;
- Provide verbal and written feedback to supervisor on progress, lesson learnt, achievements and gaps, issues and problems;
- Develop and maintain effective working relationship with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, community leaders and service providers;
- Coordinate program implementation through regular meetings with donors and all other local and international actors and through participating in the relevant sectors WGs;
Essential qualifications:
- Bachelor in Social science, Counseling, psychology or other related field,
- Full knowledge of protection, human rights, international law, refugee law and humanitarian principles
- Understanding of project design, management and implementation of field-based protection programs
- Understanding of programmatic reporting
- Strong coordination, reporting, communication and advocacy skills
Essential experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in the field of protection and community-based activities
- Experience working with community leaders and stakeholders;
