Career Readiness and Employability Program

Khuta Program Brief

Khuta is based on the Job Search Club (JSC) methodology of the International Labour Organization (ILO) under the PROSPECTS partnership, supported by the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and implemented by INJAZ Lebanon. Khuta is run in Beirut, Mount Lebanon, North Lebanon, and Bekaa region in collaboration with UNHCR and Directorate General of Vocational and Technical Education. It aims to improve the employability and employment outcomes of Lebanese and Syrian job seekers.

The Job Search methodology is designed to assist job seekers in effectively navigating the job market through a structured, behavior-oriented program. Club members meet daily for two weeks (4 hours daily for 10 working days), or until they secure employment, under the supervision of a trained facilitator who provides guidance, information, and tools throughout their job search. In addition, members support one another to enhance their job-hunting skills, offering mutual encouragement.

To gain practical exposure, club members are given the opportunity to participate in study tours, employer roundtables, job fairs and employability events, and apprenticeships.

Khuta – Job Search Club (JSC) is completely free of charge, and transportation is covered. The sessions are run in Arabic, and new clubs are lunched each month.
