Communications Coordinator
The Communications Coordinator is responsible of expanding INJAZ Lebanon image among different stakeholders. He/she is also responsible for image and message development, and general relationship building.
Production and dissemination of newsletters and corporate materials
- Designing newsletters with updates on INJAZ’s activities, materials and publications (English and Arabic)
- Producing the annual report based on information’s gathered from INJAZ’s Areas Programs Coordinators
- Support in reporting on INJAZ different activities when needed.
- Support in producing written materials when needed
- Coordinate the production of ads and any marketing material as needed (including promotional items, greeting cards etc)
- Develop and review INJAZ communications materials (Banners, Flyers, Power point Presentations, Email templates, Program theme summaries,etc….)
- Continually update and improve all narrative materials for INJAZ in Arabic, English, (and French when needed)
Website and social networks
- Managing INJAZ website, and social media platforms through regular updates in alignment with INJAZ corporate identity
Relations with media and key stakeholders
- Develop creative media and communication strategies for events, reports or advocacy campaigns in line with INJAZ Lebanon messages, assessing risks and opportunities
- Enhance INJAZ relationships with the media to maximize profile and positive coverage of all INJAZ activities
- Hold, develop and maintain credible relationships with key journalists
- Develop media friendly communication materials and other tools fit for various audience including media (Press kits)
- Draft press releases for INJAZ various events or partnerships in both English and Arabic.
- Dispatch/ follow up on the press release to the different media outlets.
- Monitor news media coverage of INJAZ Lebanon, and maintain an updated media database.
Representation
Represent INJAZ Lebanon at external events as required
Education and qualifications:
- University degree in Journalism, Marketing, Advertising or Communication Arts
- 2-3 years of experience in related field of Communications
- Fluent in both English and Arabic
Experience:
- In networking and communication activities (at national, regional and international level)
- In working with media
- In editing and proof reading corporate communication documents for public dissemination
- In drafting articles and managing a website
- In working with social media
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize workload, proactive approach to meeting deadlines with limited supervision
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
