Position Title: Communications Officer – SPEEDUP Project
Location: Hybrid – Beirut or North Lebanon
Reports to: Project Manager / Operations Manager
Role Overview
The Communications Officer will be responsible for leading communication and visibility activities within the SPEEDUP project, a multi-partner initiative supporting start-ups and small businesses in Lebanon. The role requires excellent written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with diverse partners to ensure compliance with donor guidelines and effective dissemination of project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Communication & Visibility
- Draft and edit reports, newsletters, press releases, and other visibility materials.
- Ensure communication activities follow donor and program guidelines.
- Contribute to the dissemination of project results and good practices across partners and stakeholders.
- Support partners in preparing and publishing content related to the project.
- Ensure the SPEEDUP project is clearly represented on INJAZ Lebanon’s website and communication channels.
Coordination & Support - Work closely with the Project Manager and partners to implement agreed visibility and publicity actions.
- Monitor communication outputs, provide feedback, and support partners in meeting contractual obligations.
- Participate in project communication calls and partner meetings.
- Contribute to the preparation of success stories and knowledge products to highlight project impact.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in communications, ideally with international or donor-funded projects.
- Excellent written and spoken English (strong professional writing skills required).
- Experience drafting reports, newsletters, and press releases.
- Familiarity with donor visibility guidelines and communication standards.
- Experience in content writing and basic use of visual communication tools.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented.
- Excellent spoken Arabic.
