INJAZ Lebanon is seeking a highly motivated and experienced MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) Specialist to join its team starting in July 2025. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing the organization’s impact by designing, implementing, and overseeing effective MEAL systems across various programs. POSITION SUMMARY
The MEAL Specialist is responsible for the coordination of all monitoring and evaluation activities including data collection, collation, and analysis for INJAZ Lebanon programs. S/he is in regular contact with staff in Beirut and the field offices to monitor the timely and accurate collection of data. The MEAL Specialist will coordinate with the Project Coordinators/Managers to generate donor reports and other program analysis documents as needed. In addition, s/he will act as a key person to help identify funding opportunities and support in drafting concept notes and proposals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Development and Implementation
- Create a detailed monitoring plan, a framework and procedures for the monitoring and evaluation of project activities.
- Conducting and providing technical inputs and oversight on program reviews, evaluations, studies by reviewing methodologies, tools, and products developed to ensure they are of high quality.
- In charge of defining and implementing the key project performance indicators (KPI) as well as monitoring them throughout the duration of the projects.
- Draft tools and their revisions as well as data collection procedures (eg. logical framework, project performance tracking, indicators, data flow chart, M&E manuals, data collection templates…)
- Support all M&E initiatives for assigned grant(s)/project(s) including monitoring data quality, tracking the progress of activities, and contributing to staff capacity building initiatives as necessary.
- Suggest ways to facilitate data collection and the flow of data within Program field teams.
- Support the operations field team in their role to collect and enter data from participants through adequate database and surveys.
- Perform regular field visits to ensure the quality of data collected by Programs and to verify the accuracy and completeness of reported data.
- Train field, project and partner staff on data collection through the defined MEAL tools
- Contribute to the development of global/regional/country M&E learning opportunities and tools.
- Update and monitor data in coordination with the programs department
Reporting, Proposal Writing and Communications
- Develop the donors reports and ensure high quality reports are submitted on time for the program.
- Support project/program staff on ways to properly document, organize and capture program progress with close coordination with the communications team
- Propose strategies to increase data use and demand amongst Program staff.
- Lead on M&E work plans, and targets during the drafting donor project proposals as well as throughout project implementation and offer support on the establishment of concept notes, proposals and log frames.
- Contribute to the development of program and operational reporting templates that facilitate the acquisition and aggregation of information in programs in order to meet identified information needs.
- Work on the timely submission of the Organizational Report of INJAZ
- Follow up on: Results of classes, pre and post-test, satisfaction, incubation results, & the coaches reports
- Work on the analysis of data and report trends and recommendations to the team and the line management
- Deliver Reports of the youth platform & trackers after controlling data while and respecting deadlines
- Follow the referrals and the proper use of RIMS
INJAZ CRM & Database management
- Update and monitor data in coordination with the programs department
- Manage the accuracy & cleaning of database
- Control the data and make sure that they are always ready for export
- Escalate any issues in the Database to Line Manager
- Lead on the implementation of INJAZ CRM platform adopted (Salesforce) and make sure of the accuracy of data added while keeping it up to date at all times
- Lead on the LMS platform of INJAZ and train the team whenever needed while keeping on improving the system
- Discuss with line management and the teams the use of new platforms and their need in the operation while doing the necessary training and follow-up (such as LMS, data collection platforms (JotForm, Google Form,), and others…
- Ensure that the reports are always updated and validated
- Report regular to the line manager about the training quality, challenges, and issues if any
- Follow-up with the youth on time and conduct field visits as much as needed
- Ensure the collection of success stories, pictures, testimonials, or any needed/requested information while doing the follow-up
M&E Team Management
- Responsible of the appraisal process of the team
- Follows up on individual plan and formal / informal meetings with the Officers
- Support in the recruitment of the team when needed
Others
- Attend team meetings
- Undertake other related duties, as assigned or requested by their line manager
Position Qualification & Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, International Development, Information Management, Social Work, or equivalent with 4 years relevant experience;
- A minimum of 3 years of Monitoring and Evaluation experience (essential)
- Have a car & able to use it for field visits (Essential)
- Capacity to produce high-quality briefs, proposals and reports in English and Arabic.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- The ideal candidate will be a proactive and efficient multi-tasker. This candidate can work independently in a fast-paced dynamic working environment. He/ She will have excellent writing skills, is creative and committed.
