Project Manager

Position Summary   INJAZ Lebanon is launching a Youth Social Innovation Project in 2017 targeting Lebanese and refugee youth as part of UNICEF Innovation Lab Network Program. This project will operate in the North and Bekaa areas, across seven locations reaching 2,500 youth, and include the following two components: Component 1: Social Entrepreneurship Training Program. Component 2: Incubation and Seed Funding Program.   The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the delivery of the Youth Social Innovation project across the two areas, supervising and monitoring project implementation. S/he will be responsible for providing support, coaching and managing the Area Managers responsible for each of the areas. This person will also be responsible for coordinating with key project partners and communication and reporting to the project donor. S/he will play an important role in project strategy and program adaptation/design.   Responsibilities     Project Management Ensure that operations across the project areas are delivered within the framework of the original plan and in line with the project budget, with the optimum use of resources. Propose and prepare any project amendments if needed. Develop the detailed project work plan in coordination with Executive Director and the field teams. Support project teams in the fulfillment of their duties according to program design. Ensure close coordination at area level with INJAZ community partners for youth outreach and registration as per agreed targets. Support Area Managers in identifying additional community partners for youth outreach as needed.   Trainers’ Management & Support: Ensure the recruitment and orientation of project trainers. Support in the planning and implementation of the INJAZ Training of Trainers Ensure that INJAZ trainers are consistently fulfilling their roles and completing program delivery tasks while implementing the INJAZ programs in the target communities Knowledgeable of INJAZ Lebanon program content and ensures that it is being delivered according to the agreed project standards and plan.   Staff Management / Human Resources (HR) Oversee the hiring of Area Managers and INJAZ trainers with the input of the Executive Director and Finance/Admin. Manager and provide them with proper orientation and support on the project. Oversee the performance of the project staff and ensure that they have the necessary knowledge and   capacity relevant to their role. Train Area Managers on INJAZ curriculum as needed. Lead the weekly meetings with the project team to review project progress.   Monitoring and Evaluation, Communication and Reporting: Support in the establishment and enhancement of systems and standards for the monitoring and evaluation of the project in compliance with the donor requirements Visit the project Areas on a regular basis to supervise and monitor the quality of program implementation. Ensure adequate data collection and data entry at an Area level and consolidate data at a national level. Review the internal reports prepared by the Area Managers and prepare the donor’s external reports on a quarterly basis or as required. Contribute to the execution of the project’s marketing plan by sharing project results, stories and testimonials and ensure appropriate branding in project locations.   Logistics & Administrative Support: Ensure that project locations are well equipped and ready for the project implementation. Ensure that all activities are aligned with the project’s budget. Ensure availability of all program materials for Area Manager and organise program printing requirements in coordination with Finance/Admin. Manager.   Others: Attend partners’ meetings and team meetings. Undertake other related duties, as assigned or requested by the Executive Director.   Position Qualifications: Required:      *  Master degree in Business Administration, Social Science, Education or other relevant field *  5+ years of professional experience including project and team management  (experience with international donors is a must). *  Solid experience of project cycle management, ensuring the delivery of high quality programs *  Knowledgeable and strong interest in Business Development and Entrepreneurship. *  Ability to multi task and work independently in a fast paced environment. *  Proactive with strong interpersonal and communication skills. *  Highly motivated with excellent organizational, time management and teamwork skills. *  Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic *  Motorized
