Senior Program Manager

POSITION TITLE: Senior Program Manager REPORTING TO: Executive Director STATUS: Full--‐Time STARTING: October 2015   Position Summary   (1)    Manages daily operations of INJAZ Lebanon programs in line with annual strategy, including management of program team. (2)    Assures program quality, expansion and good relation with schools. (3)    Works with Executive Director on setting goals, targets and strategy for Annual growth for students, partners and programs. (4)    Works with Executive Director to identify and secure corporate volunteers support. (5)    Reports to donors on programs/projects’ achievements.        Responsibilities   Program Growth and Strategy: Works with Executive Director to plan programs and growth strategy. Renews commitments of schools, universities and CSOs currently involved and recruits new schools, universities and CSOs with support of program team. Evaluates opportunities for new program introduction and program innovation. Increases public awareness of JA/INJAZ programs among business sector and educational audiences.  Upholds the highest standards of excellence and quality for program delivery.   Securing Volunteers: Renews commitments from business leaders who have been providing volunteers. Identifies/recruits new companies who have not been involved with the programs in order to secure top caliber volunteers and maintain the quality of the programs.  Works with the Executive Director on developing and delivering all needed volunteers presentations.   Volunteers’ Training & Scheduling: Oversees/runs development and implementation of all volunteers’ orientation/training programs. Oversees volunteers’ training logistics including securing training location, development of orientation materials, volunteers’ scheduling, and distribution of registration and evaluation forms.   School/Universities/Educators’ Relationships: Develops and maintains quality relationships with partner schools, universities and CSOs, with support of program team. Recruits new schools as needed and kick start long--‐term relationship with support of program team. Keeps abreast of Lebanon education developments. Demonstrates customer orientation and focus in providing INJAZ programs. Oversees development and delivery of all presentations to education partners.     Responsibilities   Program Implementation Quality: Manages program implementation. Develops and continually updates operations/quality control plan in line with INJAZ Al--‐Arab program implementation standards. Oversees that program team assures quality of programs through phone calls, classroom & volunteer monitoring, and program evaluation instruments. Manages availability of program materials and resources according to program plan. Assesses appropriateness of program model for local area and adapts accordingly if needed.   Participants’ Recognition: Develops and implements methods of participants’ recognition with support of program team (for business partners, education partners and students). Plans logistics of events; oversees that program team informs volunteers, teachers, school/university administrators and business executives of event.   Board Committees: Prepares and assists on program related materials for board and committee meetings.   Program Administration: Assists in developing a budget or all programs and program related activities. Develops a yearly calendar that predicts program needs and includes timetables, procedures, and responsibilities. Develops reports to donors with support from program team. Oversees maintenance of database information on all programs and participants.   Position Qualifications: Required:   Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 6-7 years work experience in education, business or social sector including management experience. Strong oral and written communication. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong organization and planning skills. Ability to be creative. Evidence of problem solving. Computer literacy. Self-motivation and an entrepreneurial attitude. Sincere interest in the mission of INJAZ Lebanon.
