Social Entrepreneurship Trainer

Background:INJAZ Lebanon is implementing a pilot Social Entrepreneurship training project as part of UNICEFInnovation Labs Network program. The pilot project will be implemented in collaboration with localNGOs, providing 100 underprivileged youth aged 15 to 24 with business, interpersonal, employabilityand social entrepreneurship skills and hands on experience in order to help enhance their livelihoodsopportunities.Youth will be organized in small groups to develop their social entrepreneurship idea into aninnovative solution over the course of the 5 weeks training period, with selected projects beingtested over a one week period.Key Responsibilities:The Social Entrepreneurship Trainer will be responsible for the delivery of the INJAZ Lebanon trainingcurriculum in Arabic in one of the two centers in Mount Lebanon or Tripoli area. Training topicsinclude:• Business planning skills including: ideation, market needs assessment, cost benefit analysisand building a valid business model• Soft/ employability skills training including written and verbal communication, teamwork,problem solving and leadership skills.• Social entrepreneurship hands on training:- Youth will organize in small groups with each group working on identifying a need atthe community level and developing a project idea to address this need.- Youth groups will participate in a classroom competition and the most feasible ideaswill receive a small funding to launch their project at a pilot level and document it.Specific Responsibilities:1. Plan and deliver the business and entrepreneurship training in one of the two areas. Thetraining duration is a total of 30 hours organized in bi-weekly sessions of 2.5 hours each over6 weeks starting week of November 7th, 2016.2. Support youth during the pilot project implementation.3. Utilize participatory youth learning principles that are adapted to individuals with no priorexperience in formal education and vulnerable groups.4. Actively seek feedback from the Centre’s coordinator to ensure a learner-centered approachand to maintain high quality standards and students’ satisfaction.5. Maintain learners’ attendance and records of progress towards skills development.Training Delivery Prerequisite:• The trainer will receive the training content and material from INJAZ Lebanon.• The trainer will attend a 3 to 4 hours orientation session delivered by INJAZ Lebanon on thetraining material.Qualification and Experience:The successful applicants will be highly skilled trainers able to effectively facilitate learning tostudents from diverse backgrounds. S/he will need to be approachable and sensitive to the needs ofstudents and driven by a strong commitment to high quality training.
