Company Name: Insan Association Job Title: Research Officer                Reporting To: Research and Advocacy Advisor (Samantha Hutt)                                                                                            Location: Various including Insan Association office in Ashrafieh and employers homes in the following areas: The district of Beirut: -       Ashrafieh -       Ramlet el Bayda -       Verdun / Bir Hassan The district of El Metn: -       Rabieh -       Antelias -       Bsalim The district of Kesrouan: -       Kaslik -       Zouk -       Adma Position Description:   To assist in the preparation of a research project aimed to identify:   The perceptions of employers regarding the Kafala system; The Kafala reform preferences of employers; Alternative frameworks and there potential acceptability to employers and employees; The role (if any) mediation can play in reducing the human and labour rights violations experienced by MDWs in Lebanon.   Key Duties: To undertake interviews with research participants where required. To enter data gathered into SPSS.   Work hours & Compensation: The Research Officer position is a casual role (25 hours per week) over a six week period and requires skills demonstrated by an experienced or semi-qualified research officer. This includes the ability to demonstrate initiative and attention to detail. The Research Officer will receive a salary of $5USD per interview completed. It is anticipated that each interview will take approximately 20 minutes each.   The Research Officer must be willing to be flexible with the hours they work (Monday through to Sunday) as they will need to adapt to the needs of the research participants. Additionally, each researcher will attend the interviews with another interviewer and therefore compatible timetables will need to be developed. Hours required per week: 25
