Social Worker Consultant

The Social Worker Consultant will perform the following tasks:

1. Detect people with social needs

1. Meet people seeking assistance.
2. Conduct visits to these people in their residency.
3. Assess the need of each situation.
4. Open and classify social files.
5. Enter the Data on INSAN’s Database.

2. Follow up on the welfare of the beneficiaries and ensure their social support

1. Conduct interviews with beneficiaries to see if their needs have been met.
2. Conduct site visits (home visits, school, etc.) in order to understand the individuals in their environment and try to support them.
3. Identify the main needs and the other problems linked to either material conditions or psychological trauma during the home visits of the social assistant to the families.
4. Identify vulnerable families or individuals whether to benefit from humanitarian and medical assistance based on criteria of selection if any.
5. Promote the development and empowerment of people by providing social support to facilitate integration, adaptation, and rehabilitation to the workplace.

3. Coordinate the work with the members of the center

1. Organize an action plan with a multidisciplinary approach. Participate in working groups to enrich the institutional and inter-institutional reflection.
2. Participate in weekly case management meetings and conduct internal and external referrals to relevant services on a case by case basis.
3. Identify and update services providers list, and refer to them cases. Follow up on referrals (internal/external) to ensure beneficiaries have received the needed support.
4. Report the cases that have been managed (Database & MEAL tools).
