The social worker will provide social counseling and assistance in response to the needs of INSAN's beneficiaries. The social worker will perform a variety of tasks and duties intending to find the best solution for beneficiaries and to make the project and activities successful. The social worker will discuss with beneficiaries about their choices and guide them through their own problem-solving process in a participatory manner.

In particular the social worker will have the following tasks:

  • Detect people with social needs: meet people seeking assistance. Conduct visits to these people in their residence. Assess the need of each situation. Open and classify social files. Enter the Data on Insan’s Database.
  • Follow up on the welfare of the beneficiaries and ensure their social support: Conduct interviews with beneficiaries to see if their needs have been met. Conduct site visits (home visits, school, etc.) in order to understand the individuals in their environment and try to support them.
  • Identify the main needs and the other problems linked to either material conditions or psychological trauma during the home visits of the social assistant to the families
  • Identify vulnerable families or individuals whether to benefit from humanitarian and medical assistance based on criteria of selection if any. 
  • Promote the development and empowerment of people by providing social support to facilitate integration, adaptation, and rehabilitation to the workplace.
  • Coordinate the work with the members of INSAN's psycho-social team: Organize an action plan with a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Participate in working groups to enrich the institutional and inter-institutional reflection.
  • Participate in weekly case management meetings and conduct internal and external referrals to relevant services on a case by case basis.
  • Attend other meetings as requested.
  • Provide reports whenever requested.
