Terms of Reference:
Data processing and analysis of evaluation questionnaires from training in conflict mitigation, stress management & communication skills
Between December 2014 and March 2015 International Alert organised five training courses on conflict mitigation, stress management and communication skills for healthcare workers. The trainings were held within the framework of Alert’s work on conflict sensitive healthcare provision, and was part of the EU-funded project ‘Conflict Reduction through Improving Healthcare Services for the Vulnerable Population in Lebanon’, led by the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) and implemented by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in partnership with WHO, UNICEF, International Alert and International Relief and Development.
International Alert is now seeking a data processing and analysis consultant to process the data from the post-training questionnaires.
Objectives of the consultancy
The overall objective of this consultancy is to support the evaluation of Alert’s capacity building activities. The specific objective is to review evaluation questionnaires and produce a paper with the key findings.
The expected deliverables are:
- Review approximately 100 handwritten end line questionnaires (10 close- and open-ended questions) and summarize findings
- Compare the findings with data from an identical baseline. The baseline data is available in an excel spread sheet
- Review approximately 100 handwritten training evaluation forms (8 questions, mostly close-ended) and summarize findings
Consultant profile
- Proven experience in quantitative data processing and analysis for evaluation purposes
- Fluent English and Arabic language skills
