015/2018 - Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Position Description

Reporting to the Syria/MENA Program Manager, and working in close coordination with the Grants Manager in HQ, the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer main duties are the following:

Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of the Syria/MENA program in line with donor and ICMP requirements;

Report on the implementation of program objectives and changes in indicators, activities and goals;

Ensures any disparities between planned and actual outputs are identified;

Ensure a monitoring and evaluation framework for the Syria/MENA Program is established and administered;

Develop monitoring and evaluation tools and processes;

Facilitates the review of the Syria/MENA Program Implementation and Operational plans;

Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Secondary school. Post-secondary education in project management, public relations, business, social science or other relevant areas is highly desirable;

Minimum 6 years professional related experience in reporting, monitoring and evaluation working in an EU funded international organization.

Strong analytical and writing skills, as demonstrated by the ability to produce high quality reports

Proven experience in designing and maintaining tools for program reporting, monitoring and evaluation;

Excellent drafting skills.

Prior experience in mainstreaming gender and the use of gender aggregated data.

Excellent conceptual, analytical, documentation and presentation skills, including report writing;

Excellent planning and prioritization skills, including the ability to think and operate strategically.

Additional requirements:

Proficiency in written and spoken English and Arabic. Knowledge of written and spoken Turkish and Kurdish is highly desirable;

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point;

Proven ability to interact positively with colleagues regardless of culture, nationality or gender;

Understanding of the Syrian conflict and the region, as well as work experience related to Syria and the region is desirable;

Willingness to travel and to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings;

Legally entitled to work in Lebanon
