The Syria Protection Support Office works closely with the Protection colleagues in Syria for the implementation of all protection activities, in the framework of priorities, objectives and strategies set by the Protection Department in Syria.
Purpose:
The Protection Data Administrator carries out data processing of information on people entitled to protection under international humanitarian law using specialized case-management software, in order to ensure the work of the Protection department is managed efficiently and effectively in line with established guidelines. S/He is responsible for the data comprehensive support on the Protection file and overall support to the Data Team Office.
Certifications/Education Required:
• University Degree.
•2 - 3 years’ experience in similar field
• Experience working with Databases
• Very good command of Arabic and English.
• Computer proficiency (able to create Excel tables with formulas and Word documents).
• Responsibility, autonomy, ability to set priorities.
• Excellent planning and organization skills.
• Very Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Good experience and knowledge with archiving and filing.
Functional Responsibilities:
Data input
Under the supervision of the Data Manager for Syria Protection Support in Beirut:
Data input in ICRC’s database for its operations in Syria, that might include individual information on missing cases and other beneficiaries;
Ensure the coherence of data by analyzing and comparing the data both in the database and information available in the individual files, propose solutions
Follow-up with delegates for incomplete or incorrect documents linked to data collectionin liaison with the Data Manager;
Participate in correction of the database when needed under the supervision of the Data Manager;
Understand, put into application and contribute to the revision of the Data Entry procedures.
Restoring Family Links (RFL) case follow-up
In close cooperation with the RFL team in Syria and the Data team in Damascus:
Contribute to the follow-up of RFL cases;
Update cases in Prot6 according to new information obtained, following the data entry procedures;
