Purpose:
Based in Tyr, South Lebanon, and with flexibility in covering all Lebanese areas, the Light Vehicles Driver transports people and goods in a safe and timely manner, in accordance with ICRC rules and regulations and national traffic laws
The qualified candidate should have at least a secondary diploma or what is relevant, with 2 years of experience working as a Driver preferably at an I/NGO, prior driving experience in South Lebanon Area is a requirement.
Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Lebanon.
Accountabilities & Functional responsibilities:
- Drives light vehicles to transport people and/or material in strict adherence to internal security rules and national traffic laws.
- Constantly monitors security conditions on the road.
- Ensures that goods are stored inside the vehicle according to local, international and ICRC safety standards (attachment and distribution of goods, etc.).
- Checks their assigned vehicle(s)' equipment, general functioning and body condition and ensures that it is kept fueled and clean inside and out.
- Checks that trips have been authorized where necessary.
- Immediately reports accidents, defects and/or missing equipment to management.
- Can act as head of convoy as needed (in charge of the driver(s), application of security rules and time-frame for the convoy).
Certifications / Education required:
- Secondary Degree.
- Public driving license is a must
Professional Experience required:
- 2 years of experience working as a Driver preferably at an I/NGO.
- Prior driving experience in South Lebanon Area is a requirement

What we offer:
- Salary Package: 1’213 – 1’747 USD/Month (As per ICRC salary scale, salary setting processes will determine fair setting in coherence with the qualifications of the applicant and the requirements of the job).
- 13th Month of salary paid in December, pro rata basis in accordance with the period worked.
- Annual Leave: 20 calendar working days of paid leave per year, pro rata basis in accordance with the period worked.
- Health Insurance: 90% of premium fees under class B, coverage include: Doctor visits, Medicines, Therapy services, etc.
- International Retirement Saving Plan (IRSP): a contribution valued at 11.5% of your monthly salary, these savings are paid by the end of service as a lump sum.
- Other benefits subject to internal rules and regulations: High Cost of Living Allowance (HCLA), Schooling allowance, eyeglasses, designated personal training budget for learning opportunities.

1. Written Test 50% - Passing grade: 60/100 Highest 5 graded-succeeding candidates to be considered for the interview
