Ecosec (Agronomist/economist) Senior Field Officer

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance. The ICRC has a permanent mandate under international law to take impartial action for prisoners, the wounded and sick, and civilians affected by conflict. The ICRC sub-delegation is looking to recruit an: EcoSec (Agronomist/Economist) Senior Field Officer   Minimum profile:   University Diploma/Master degree in Economics or Agronomics At least 3 - 5 years’ work experience in the humanitarian field, with at least 3 years in livelihoods/agro programs At least 2 years’ experience in a management position Very good Team leadership skills Very good organisational skills Very Good written and spoken English Very Good computer skills Very Good analytical skills Good knowledge of geographically assigned environment (North Lebanon)   He/she: Contributes in a timely and organized manner to the EcoSec (Economic Security) analysis and implementation of specific Relief, livelihood and agro programs (most of them through cash transfer programming) and all related reporting, mainly independently Understands, analyses and evaluates the situation of identified target population (including people affected by the Syrian conflict living in Lebanon) Ensures the coordination with the Head of Sub Delegation, EcoSec Beirut, field delegates /field officers and all relevant departments Knows, applies and complies with all the administrative/financial/logistics procedures linked to his/her work Coordinates with other humanitarian actors national and international for purposes of planning Reports timely all relevant information, general progress of activities and challenges, and provides written reports on field assessments, project proposal, monitoring and evaluation of programs as well as minutes of workshops and meetings Interprets/translates meetings and documents and draft official letters to interlocutors Manages the EcoSec field officers team of Tripoli Sub Delegation
